About the Department of Landscape Architecture
The Department of Landscape Architecture at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is among the oldest programs of landscape architecture and is a leader in professional development and scholarship. Students in the program benefit from internationally recognized faculty, state of the art research and educational facilities, and a supportive professional community. Our Bachelor of Landscape Architecture and Master of Landscape Architecture degrees are accredited by the national landscape architecture accrediting organizations and we offer a Ph.D. in Landscape Architecture in conjunction with the School of Architecture and a Ph.D. in Urban and Regional Planning through the Department of Urban and Regional Planning. In 2008 the Department of Landscape Architecture celebrated its 100th anniversary.
