Brent and Jean Wadsworth Launch New
Internship Scholarship
Wadsworth Scholarship — The Wadsworths' generosity to this department is unsurpassed, and we gratefully acknowledge their support over these many years. Although they could not be at the Sasaki Day events, I am thrilled to tell you that Brent Wadsworth has been chosen to receive the University of Illinois Alumni Association's Achievement Award for 2011. AND both Brent and his wife Jean will be joining us at our Convocation ceremonies at Allerton Park on May 14th. Please be sure to congratulate them both when you see them there.
At this time, we are proud and pleased to announce the launch of a new opportunity to support our students — the Wadsworth Business Emphasis Scholarship and Internship Support — something we think of as the B.E.S.T internship scholarship — intended to help professional students underwrite the costs of the required professional internship program. Scholarship applications may be submitted at the end of Spring term (for proposed summer and fall internships) or the end of Fall term (for proposed spring internships).
Multiple scholarships may be awarded. The scholarship amount for 2011-2012 is indexed to the expenses of the 5-credit internship course tuition and fees, approx. $1,500. With this launch tonight, we will be putting out a call for applications for all continuing students taking the internship course.
