Professor Sarah Taylor Lovell
The department now enjoys both teaching and research involvement from Assistant Professor Sarah Taylor Lovell, in the UIUC Department of Crop Sciences. Professor Lovell received her education at the University of Illinois, earning an MLA in 2005. 
UIUC Alumni Celebrated
In addition to the annual alumni reunion—favorite event held every year at the ASLA national convention—three alumni of UIUC’s Department of Landscape Architecture were celebrated this year with top ASLA honors.
Discover Landscape Architecture
As a corollary to the well-known Discover Architecture summer program at UIUC, the department launched a new program in the summer of 2011 called Discover Landscape Architecture.
