I hope all is well and the year is rolling along smoothly, I know right now we are quite busy with business continually coming in. I wanted to email you to also inform you that Douglas Hoerr Landscape Architecture is also looking for new faces. I regard you as some of the best people to talk in when it comes to advice, knowledge and for knowing people. So I thought it would be wise to pass the good word on. I know firms are always looking for new individuals with experience, but I am sure they are open to other options, like first year grads or should I say soon to be grads this year. You can read more about our firm at www.douglashoerr.com but a little about us to possibly mention to others, we work on both commercial and high end residential projects, some are roof top gardens, some green roofs, some just basic front and back yard design. We so the plant layout for Michigan Ave, we are working with Loyola University’s Lakeshore Campus, we have done Apple computers, Crate and Barrel, and also other residential projects from the north Suburbs, south, all the way to Des Moines and Michigan. We are a design firm but work with some characteristics of a design build firm where were are firm believers that being on site to over see projects coordination, occurrences and layout all run smoothly and correctly in order for the client to receive the best possible result. I know, I sound like a proud mother rambling, however I am a lucking one to find a job right out of college that suits me so well and is also productive for me. Both Commercial and residential teams work with many of the essential tactics we learning in college: budgets, plans, layout, section and elevation, good contact/client relation and writing skills, land surveying and site analysis, and so much more. The jobs are so diverse; it is great and is an honor. OK ok, I promise to stop now. But I wanted to let all of you know we are looking for new faces. So let the faculty, soon to be grads and grad students know. I know we also offer internships. Thanks for listening to be gab. And I really hope all is well.
